Managing Partner, Mr. Nihal De Silva FCA, FCMA (UK), CGMA. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of CA Sri Lanka (ICASL) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of the UK (AICPM & CIMA). He is our Managing Partner. He was also a Past President of the Sri Lanka Division of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (1997 – 2001) as well as a former representative for the South Asia Region at the CIMA UK Council.

Mr Piyasena is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He became a partner of B. R. De Silva & Co. in 1978 and specialises in Auditing and Taxation. Mr. Piyasena served as a council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka during the period 1995-2004. His portfolio of clients includes companies in the Retail, Manufacturing, Construction, and Wholesale & Retail businesses. He has experience in Corporate Recovery Services. He has also worked in the United Kingdom in a professional firm for a period of four years.

Mr. Lasantha Wickremasinghe FCA is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) and the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT). He is a Past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Partner at B. R. de Silva & Company Chartered Accountants since 1997 and specialized inAudit & Assurance and Forensic Accounting Services.

He has held numerous key professional and governance roles both locally and internationally, including serving as Technical Advisor to the Chair of the Small and Medium Practices (SMP) Committee of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) from 2016 to April 2019; Board Member of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) from 2016 to 2019, where he also served on the Audit and Governance Committee; and Board Member of the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) from 2016 to 2017. He served as a Member of the Board of Management of the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM), University of Sri Jayewardenepura, from 2018 to 2022 and as Chairman of its Audit Committee. He also served as Chairman of the Improvement in Transparency, Accountability & Governance (ITAG) Committee of SAFA from 2010 to 2017.

His other roles include serving as a Board Member and Audit Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE) from 2016 to 2019 and Treasurer of the Organization of Professional Associations (OPA) from 2009 to 2010. He further served as an Ex-Officio of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 2016 to 2017 and as Chairman of its Audit Committee, as well as Member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chairman of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board (SLAASMB) from 2016 to 2019.

Mr Sanjaya Bandara is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy & Financial Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Colombo.

At present, he serves as a Board Member of the Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board (SLAASMB). He also serves on the Accounting Standards Committee and the Auditing Standards Committee of CA Sri Lanka. He is a past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

He was an ex-officio member of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and a member of the Stakeholder Engagement Committee of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. He also served as a board member of confederation of Asia & Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and south Asian federation of Accountants (SAFA). He currently serves as the Head of Assurance at B.R. De Silva & Co.

Ms. De Silva obtained her LLB Degree from the University of Colombo. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). She is also an Associate Member of CPA Australia. Her portfolio of clients includes companies in the Apparel, Leisure, Healthcare and Manufacturing Industries. She is experienced in conducting Statutory Audits, Internal Audits, Accounting Assignments, and BPO Assignments as well as consultations in Company Law.

Mrs Fernando holds the position since 2003. She is an Alumna of the Firm, and has over 35 years of experience in the profession.

She is responsible for all duties connected with Administration and Finance. She handles the outsourcing activities of the Firm.
